WHAT ARE THE UPCOMING CAMP DATES?

When you apply for the camp, you need to choose the most suitable camp date for you. The camp dates for 2018 are:

August 20 – 29, 2018 – Summer Camp
December 20 – 29, 2018 – Winter Camp

Kathmandu. Nagarkot. Pokhara. Dhading. Chitwan.

WHO IS THE ORGANIZER OF THE INTERNATIONAL YOUTH CAMP NEPAL?

The organizer of the International Youth Camp is Youth Legend. Youth Legend is a social enterprise in Nepal. Youth Legend aims to make a significant impact in lives of young people by creating opportunities, connections and inspiration through our various programs.

WHO WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL THE ACTIVITIES DURING CAMP?

Our competent Youth Legend Team will be responsible for most of the activities during the camp. We will give you local authentic experience of Nepal and help you experience the best of Nepal.

IS NEPAL SAFE?

Nepal is the safest destination in South East Asia. Nepalese are known for their warm, friendly nature and hospitality. We never had war in the name of religion or culture.

Like, the video said, we are ready to WELCOME You IN NEPAL. A foreigner in the video said, “People come to Nepal for Temples or Mountains, but, they will come back to Nepal for the people they meet here.”

We don’t want to over promise you but we want to assure you that you will experience a different kind of warmth and connection when you are in Nepal.

HOW CAN I GET VISA FOR NEPAL AND HOW MUCH IS THE VISA COST?

There is no visa fee for passport holder of member states of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation(SAARC) for 30 days. Indian National do not need visa to enter Nepal.

You can obtain your entry visa upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Besides, you can also obtain your visa at a consulate in your home country.

However, Tourists holding the passport of Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Cameroon, Somalia, Liberia, Ethiopia, Iraq, Afghanistan and Palestine are not eligible for on arrival visa at the Port of Entry. If you are from these countries, then you need to get a visa before coming to Nepal. Diplomatic mission and Consuls of Nepal are authorized to issue the Visa. You should apply and get the visa before coming to Nepal.

In either case, you need to submit 2 (two) passport size photograph and the visa fee. The visa fee is
– Multiple entry visas for 15 days or less from the date of entry US$ 25 or equivalent convertible foreign currency.
– Multiple entry visas for 30 days US$ 40 or equivalent convertible foreign currency.

WHAT TYPE OF FOOD WILL BE AVAILABLE AND HOW MANY TIMES A DAY?

You will be provided with meals 3 times a day.
1. Breakfast
2. Lunch
3. Dinner

We will also provide you some snacks, local chips, biscuits, chocolates during camp.

Varieties of food depend upon places we travel.

In General,
You will have breakfast with Bread, Omelette, Potatoes and Tea or coffee.
For lunch, you will have diverse local food like momo(dumplings), fried rice, noodles, pizza, Burger, Spaghetti etc.
For meals, In Nepal, we generally eat Rice with Lentils, curry and pickles every day.

We don’t want you to be bored with the same kind of food, therefore, we want to let you have pretty diverse food experience. We will take you to several local places where you can savor varieties of national and international popular cuisine.

AM I PROVIDED WITH A SINGLE ROOM OR A SHARED ROOM?

You will be provided with a shared room with the same gender. If you want a special single room then you have to pay some extra charge depending on the hotel price. You should inform about this once you are selected.

But, we encourage you to stay in the shared room because one of the purposes of our camp is to foster cross-cultural understanding and develop lifelong friendships too.

IS THERE ANY SCHOLARSHIP AVAILABLE?

We will provide 5 to 15 percent scholarship to few young people of developing nations or those who have a very strong reason for scholarship.

If you are looking for funding from your school, University or organizations, we will be happy to provide you with an official letter and assist you with funding.

Please note that Early Bird Discount and scholarship scheme applies to those who apply for full 12 days camp only.

WHAT WILL BE DONE IF I HAVE HEALTH PROBLEMS DURING THE CAMP?

You will be immediately taken to the hospital for any health issue. We will stay in hotels and resorts from where hospitals are 2 minutes to 20 minutes far.

The camp fee does not include medical bills. Therefore, you need to reimburse all the hospital fees and expenses.

We request you to have a travel insurance for you, so that, later all the amount can be reimbursed. If your insurance company needs all the required documents for reimbursement, we can provide that.
HOW WILL I PAY THE FEES OF THE CAMP?

You need to transfer at least 50 USD to our paypal account or bank account to confirm your participation. If your country does not have paypal service and bank transfer charge is quite high, you can confirm your participation by sending us confirmed air ticket for your arrival to Nepal. You can pay the camp fee after your arrival to Nepal.
